As promised, the Mod Maths exercise. Please solve all the questions in Book 3.

Questions

1. List all the elements and state the number of elements in the set.

a) P = { x : 0 ≤ x ≤ 4, P is an integer}

b) S is the set of months that begin with letter J.

2. Determine whether the set is an empty set.

a) Q is the set of months which has 29 days.

b) P = {x : x is a multiple of 2, -2 ≤ x ≤ 3}

3. Find the sets that are equal. *Please match the questions together*

a) B = {4, 64, 16, 49, 36, 9, 25}

b) E = {colours in Jalur Gemilang}

c) V = {Perfect squares}

d) Y = {yellow, white, blue, red}

4. Given A = {x : x is a multiple of 5, 5 ≤ x ≤ 30}

<------>B = {c : c is a factor of 125}

<------>C = {m, 15, 20, n, 10}

a) List the elements in set A and set B.

b) State of n(A) and n(B)

c) If A = C,  A and m and n

d) Use Venn diagram to represent set A, set B, set C, n(A), n(B), n(C).
