Attention Prefects - part 2 of 2
Alright, the texts below are your Maths notes. Just in case you don't know which book you should write in like Ashwin, then just jot the notes down in your notebook. Yes, the hard cover one. That should explain it well. Now, just copy the notes below. Oh, and part 1 is below. That's quite obvious, I know. Just mentioned that if there was actually anyone who malas want to check the whole blog.

Mathematical Reasoning
Quantifier "All" and "Some"
1. Quantifier describes the number of objects or cases involved in a statement.
2. "All" is a quantifier that describes every object or cases which satisfies a certain fixed condition.
3. "Some" is a quantifier that describes several and not every object or cases which satisfy a certain fixed condition.
Example:
a) All rectangles are four-sided
b) Some students in SMK Sri Permata are boys.
Example: Determine whether the statements are true or false.
a) All prime numbers are odd numbers. (false)
b) Some even number are multiples of 3. (true)
Generalising statements using quantifier "All"
Example:
1. Even numbers are divisible by 2.
=> All even numbers are divisible by 2.
΅The statement is true, so it can be generalised. (Nic, please correct this if there's something wrong)
2. Polygon ABC has 3 sides.
=> All polygon have 3 sides.
΅The statement is false, so it can't be generalised. (Same goes for this one)
That should.... be all. If there's anything I missed, please inform me immediately.
